Matthew parotid infantile hemangioma
as some of you know my son matthew ( who will be 1 on march 12th) was diagnosed at 3 months of age with an parotid infantile hemangioma.
we went to see doctor levitin/doctor waner in october and he was given a steroid injection into the hemangioma which it has shrunk alot.
in the last couple of weeks now matthew eye on the side where the hemangioma is on the cheek has started to turn in *maybe a lazy eye* does anyone think this has anything to do with the hemangioma?
im just curious. thanks marissa
I would ask Dr Fay:
My husband had his parotid gland removed and the facial nerve and eye can be affected. The nerve could have some pressure on it from the hemangioma. So it could be very likely that the hemangioma is affecting the eye. I would contact Dr. Fay. He is very good about responding to his emails.
