When my daughter had her MRI done last month, they did it with and without contrast. She was 7 months old at the time. The reason they did it was because you can often see things more clearly with the contrast. In case they didn't tell you, they will have to sedate her. Although sedation didn't work on Danni and they actually had to put her completely out. I was really worried knowing it had to be done. But after it was all over, I knew we had done the best thing for her. Hope this helps.
