Hi,

My daughter has dark pigmented birth mark on her left cheek. It is oval shape about 1/2" by 1.5". We live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and our doctor (Dermatalogist ) has mentioned that Laser will not work on this B mark and thus recommended plastic surgery. Plastic surgeon, Rob Harrop, from Alberta's children's hospital also agrees to surgical procedure and he thinks that surgery may be done in 2 stages. I will appreciate if you can look at attached picture (see attached Jpeg file) and let me know if:

- Laser or any other means for treatment (except surgery) is totally ruled out
- Plastic surgeon is suggesting that the dark pigmented portion will be cut and stitched back. This may result in pulling up of skin (a bit). Skin grafting is ruled out. Can someone comment on it
- Has anyone have previous experience with Alberta children's hostipal Calgary and Dr. Rob Harrop in particular for similar case?
