Wow, I stumbled across this site and was amazed to find it!! I have dealt with my AVM, which is in my colon, for 27 years. Due to the AVM I have persistent rectal bleeding which in turn leaves me anemic. I was told not to get pregnant because I would problably bleed to death. We have since adopted two wonderful children!! I have recieved embolizations on my AVM 5 seperate times. I would love to lead a healthy life! I have been told they can't remove it without the possiblity of my intestines, bladder, and female organs being removed. I was always in and out of hospitals during my childhood and felt very alone in dealing with this. Due to the location of mine and the rectal bleeding it is not something that you openly talk about, kids in school just knew I was sick alot. I would love to hear from any of you.
