Question ? About Topical Timolol for hemangioma

Has anyone tried topical timolol, ( topical beta-blocker ). I understand that there has been fairly new research with this drug for the treatment of hemangiomas. The Derm. suggested we try it, said it was topical and would not be absorbed. Has anyone heard anything about this drug? My daughter's h is on her cheek.
Here is a link to an article I found that talks about it.
