Question Surgical Issues RE: Hemangioma inside cheek

Hi,

About 3-4 years ago, I was washing my face and noticed my right cheek was larger than my left that particular day. To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with a hemangioma inside my cheek. Over the period of about 2 years, I was under the care of an ENT who requested an MRI which showed how large it actually was. It was centrally located in the fatty part of my cheek but spidered out to the stop of my head and the underside of my chin.

Fast forward to December 2011: Went in for a follow up after quite some time and my Dr. had said that it had grown. I was experiencing jaw pain and just random achey-ness. He decided to remove in January 2012. After my intial surgery, I was fine for a few weeks. Then there seemed to be swelling to the point of my entire right side of my face completely swollen. I've been through many many antibiotics and nothing seemed to help.

After many visits to the Dr., I was advised they were going to go in again and "see" what's in there. Well, apparently, they say its only scar tissue on the path reports. Today, 7/11/12, I have a huge quartersize cyst/abcess like nodule on the outside of my face and my Dr. "has no idea" what it is.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I have a second opinion appt. coming up in two weeks but this lump is not hard, it is very itchy, it seems to have some type of fluid in it. I am not touching it at all except to wash my face. I will not attempt to pop or drain it myself.

HELP! I'm at my witts end and just need advise or experiences. Please feel free to ask me anything.

Thank you!
