Hello everyone!! I am a 24 year old female with a PWS that covers both arms, hands, shoulders, chest and parts of my upper back. I am pregnant with my first child and concerned about giving birth. After becoming pregnant i have noticed increased pain in my arms and a bleb , which i have neve uad until now. I was wondering how others with PWS have dobe with pregnancy and giving birth. I am trying to decide whether or not to have a csection. I have been searching for hinge about PWS and pregnancy but there is not much out there. Any help would be great!! Thanks!!

Default Pregnancy and PWS

I have a pws that covers my entire left arm from fingertips to shoulder blade. I did notice a change in my birthmark during pregnancy. I have a rash all over my body that was particulary itchy on my birthmark and it left dark places that are still there years later. I also notice that occasionally I have itchy raised spots just on my birthmark. I have noticed that over the years it continues to get darker. Other than the rash, I didn't have any other issues with pws during either of my pregnancies.

My pws is on my face and neck. I had bleeding ulcers on my neck whilst going through puberty, same thing but worse whilst I was pregnant. I wouldn't worry about the actual labour (unless your pws is near pelvic area) but u probably ought to get urgent referral to dermatologist to see if u need to try Anything to settle down your pws for now such as strong steroid ointments. My neck is more scarred from the ulcers since bein pregnant and I wish I had got help sooner
