Default Mri/mra

My 4 month old daughter has a segmented hemangioma on half her face. Drs would like to start her on propranolol but only after an MRI, MRA and EKG. Here are my questions:

1. Has anyone else had a child this young go under sedation for MRI/MRA? She is just so little, I'm worried. Also, is this testing truly neccisary?

2. To laser or not to laser? One dr said don't... The other said do it. She had already had one pulsed dye laser treatment.

3. Timolol... Anyone use it on hemangiomas with success? We have been using it for about a month and feel we see some slight improvement on the non raised areas.

Thank you!
