Default Treating/preventing Ulceration?

My daughter's hemangioma on her leg/butt has a small area that looks like the beginning of an ulceration. She is 5 weeks old. Is there anything I can do to help prevent it from developing or will it develop despite efforts? What kind of care should I be giving it? It's in her diaper area and I'm so worried about it getting infected.

Hi, I just wanted to say- I was at Great ormand st hospital for our son and his ulcerated haemangioma.

I was recommended vaseline for dry areas (that haven't yet had skin broken). I now use coconut oil or organic olive oil on it regularly , this has helped enormously. Good luck!
