Hi everybody,

I was just wondering if I could get some feedback from anyone on the doctors below.
I have decided to seek another opinion on my eye condition. I have been doing research on both places in Baltimore and Boston. I have heard a lot about John Hopkins for the PWS/SWS/hemangioma side of the hospital but I am wanting feedback on this part of the hospital.

Here is what I am working with:

Dr. Trempe
In Boston MA
At the Schepens Retina Associates
at Beth Israel Deaconess Med. Ctr.

Or.

Dr. Andrew Shachet
or
Dr. Neil Miller
In Baltimore MD
At the Wilmer Eye Institute
at John Hopkins Hospital

Any kind of feed back on these doctors or there programs would be greatly appreciated.

Hank

What a frustrating search you have going on!

Have these doctors come recommended by other doctors? You may find this link interesting:

I wish I could be more help

I have not heard of these doctors before, but I will look into it if Wilmer Institute at John Hopkins hospital in Baltimore MD does not work out. I have an appointment there on the 24th of this month and will be back on the 26th.

Thanks again for the info and I will research it.

It looks like Dr. Miller in Baltimore trained under this Dr. Hoyt. Sounds like your going in the right direction. Good luck!!

Hi,

Just a update.

I am leaving on Sunday to go to MA Eye and Ear Infarmary in Boston MA.

I am hopefully going to find out if they are willing to try radaition treatment on my eyes.

I will have a friend post a update since I will be in Boston for a week if they do not want to do the treatment and two weeks if they do.

Talk to you when I get back.

Hank

Hi Hank, I'm relatively new to the site, but I have been reading your responses. You have a GREAT attitude and a lot insight regarding how to deal with various emotions that go along with having vascular anomilies.

Good luck in Boston.

I work at a convent with the sisters. I'll ask the sisters to put your on their prayer list.... it has amazing results.... it led me to you all. I'll look forward to reading your posts upon your return. Talk with you later, Sarah
