Well, my daughter had her second treatment. Erika - I did see you once but didn't have a chance to talk to you. Dr. Metry was ecstatic to see the white spots. This treatment was more extensive covering face, neck, ears, chest, left arm and part of her back. Because she's responding so well, Dr. Metry is going to try lasering the spots on her legs to see what response we get.
The white spots haven't changed colors back to pink or red, but the other places where she has PWS that haven't responded quite as well, continue to change colors from purple when she's really cold, to very light pink.
We will continue treatments until we get the best result possible and then hope that the future holds new treatments to try as she gets older.
I know that many people worry about the general anesthesia, but I feel confident that we are doing the right thing for her.
