Smile NEW!!! Anyone in S. Florida???

Hello... My son Stephen JR is about to be 10 months at the end of this month. I have been looking online for a forum about hemangiomas and Iím SO happy to find one!!!!! My son Stephen has a H Strawberry birthmark on face his upper left lip and by his nose. He has gone for treatment (laser/ steroids injections) ever since he was 3 months old. I noticed the birthmark on his face about 4 days after he was born. It looked like a little scratch and by time he was 2 months it kept growing and growing. Now that he has had 3 treatments they seem to have the growth of it under control. I was suppose to go to another treatment this Thursday but they cancelled it because he had a fever yesterday =( Anyways. Iím glad to introduce myself and I canít wait to talk to other families that go though the same thing as me!!!!!!!

1 Month

3 Months

5 Months

9Months after 3 treatments.. not to sure how many more =)

He is gorgeous. My son has an H on his lower lip too.
Be patient and you will eventually beat it!

Default Dr. Stelnicki

Hi! My daughter is going to be seeing Dr. Stelnicki for a hemangioma on her ear. We are driving from Central Florida. Can you tell me a little about the office, what to expect? We are going to the Boynton Beach office. If it violates any rules to post, I can be PM'ed.

Thanks!
Karen

Hi there! My daughter has an H in the exact spot as your son's. Glad you found this forum, makes you feel better knowing you aren't alone. Are the treatments you are talking about laser?

I havent been to this site in awhile. Stephen has been done with his treatments since August 2008. =) Dr. Stelnicki said he wants to see him in the summer until he is 4.

Im trying to upload new pics but it keeps telling me the pics are to big! Hopefully I'll figure it out.
