1 Week after 1st Treatment
Every morning when I wake up it is lighter and lighter.. and it changes over the day.. at night when I wash off my makeup it is lighter than when I put it on..
Literally amazing. I have waited 30 years wishing in the mornings when I looked in the mirror that it was gone.. and I was normal, well mostly .
My next treatment it 10/16.. I wish it were tomorrow!

i'm happy that the treatment is working for you!
i have a friend who had a large PWS on her face, when i first met her it was kinda alarming, but it got to the point where i didn't even see it. years ago she had treatments, and when she told us about the appointment, we all didn't think she needed it, it was a part of her and she was already beautiful. then i was around her when strangers would stare, point, or make stupid comments... and i understood why she wanted it. it's so sad that we judge people based on thier appearance, i wish the world was a different place. anyway, her's is lighter now and easier to cover, but most of the time she doesn't bother covering it... like i said, i don't even notice it anymore.
hugs,
dannielle

Thank you for your comments!
Thank you everyone for your comments and encouragement/ support. I accepted it as something I wasn't going to be able to change. for most of my life. My mom always said it was a skin discoloration and any treatment would be in the thousands.. which was out of the picture, she was a single mom.
And I am sure 30 years ago.. it was a lot more to get treatment and people didn't know a whole lot about PWS. I started noticing it texturing.. very weird, and there is now a deep purple dot in it.. which I never saw before.
When I was little it was a pale to medium pink.. and before treatment it was a deep red. But I never notice the changes over the years to a deeper color. I wear makeup everyday, and only really see it in the mornings before I put makeup on or right before bed when I wash the makeup off.
So I looked into seeing a specialist.. and found a clinic that has the Vbeam laser. They offered a free consultation. When I went I wasn't sure what to expect and for them to wipe off my make up and stare at it.. was a little uncomfortable considering NOONE sees me with out make up unless we are VERY close.
The one time I braved going out of my house without makeup while I was an adult and after many years of hiding it. I went to the convenience store with my exhusband. I sat in the truck while he ran inside, and an older man walked out and gawked and stared, Mostly when people stare and you make eye contact they have the decency to look away.. but he didn't. He kept giving me the stare that I was some beast.. I was so upset when my ex came out to the truck I told him what happened and he literally wanted to fight this man. I was just wanting to go home.
So needless to say I don't give much opportunity to get gawked at. I was an extremely shy little girl.. and once I started covering it, and changed schools it was like a whole new start. Amazing. I finally broke out of my shell.
I am very excited to go to my next treatment in a few weeks.. I wish it were here already!

2nd Treatment!
Well I had my second treatment 3 days ago.. it was totally different than the first treatment. The dr had to change the settings because there was a few area that were stubborn. It turned black again (bruising) but it was amazing how you can see how much it broke up since my first treatment. When it is bruised you really see where the vessels really are.. It is quite amazing.
The dr said she was impressed how well I responded to the first treatment and she was excited how much it has changed. She said she sees that it will be very faint after 3rd treatment.. HOW EXCITING!
I iced on and off the whole evening. Didn't sleep elevated. It wasn't sore to the touch like last time. I can wash it normal.. put make up on rubbing etc like normal. Totally ok.
However. The things I noticed, closer to my nose there are 2 bumps now where the vein seems to be bulging on my face. almost like little pimples.. but I know not to mess with them.. don't want to bleed.
I put make up on the next day.. and where the bumps were... the makeup kept coming off, weird. But I had to touch up 3 different times.
But so far.. so good. It is now dark purple. A little hard to cover being so dark. But I know it will get better.
So Excited!

So excited..
I took my makeup off last night and wanted to cry.. the fading was so drastic from when I put my makeup on yesterday morning!
Yesterday morning it was still pretty purple... I washed my face last night, and there is so much that is a very faint pale pink.. and only a tiny bit is a medium red. I mean literally amazing.
This morning was the first time since I started wearing make up to cover it that I didn't have to spend a long time caking it on to conceal it. I feel so good, and am soo happy!
I plan to take a pic here at the end of the weekend and post on monday so you can see the change in just a little over a week. and to think it takes 2 weeks for your body to break it all down.. it was only 5 days.. very exciting!
