I've been though laser treatment with 2 of my kids. Each session is different depending on the intensity of the laser. Sometimes they have bruised and other times not. Gavin had a treatment 2 days ago and it immediately bruised. The bruise is starting to go away and each hour it looks better and better. This is his 4th treatment. I'd expect that I'll see some of the bright red from the hemangioma start to surface in a few days. For whatever reason his hemangioma while small is incredibly stubborn. The doctors thought that he would only need one treatment. My youngest daughter needed only 4 or 5 treatments. Today you can barely notice that there used to be a big red dot in the middle of her forehead. My oldest daughter's hemangioma is going away with out treatment. She'll be 5 this October and you have to be really close to her hip to see it. She wears a 2 piece bathing suit and no one even notices it at the pool. HTH.
Yes, sometimes it bruises, or I call it "burns", and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it takes up to three weeks to clear up others just a couple of days. Our daughter has had six treatments on her nasal tip h and we are very very happy with the results. Hope yours goes as well. We've got a thread with pics if you'd like to see. http://126.96.36.199/board/showthread.php?t=3666
