Default Surgery with Dr. Waner scheduled

We had our appt. with Dr. Waner in NYC last week. My daughter has a compound H on her scalp that is the size of a silver dollar (about an inch and a half across). Her surgery for removal is Sept. 8th. I felt very good leaving his office and feel this is the best option for us as her H is continuing to grow.

That's great! Its such a relief to have a plan and solution. So how old will she be at time of removal? Did he say there is a chance that it will grow back? Best of luck to you and your baby.

She will be almost 5 months at the time of surgery. He said there was no chance of it coming back once its removed.

I know you must be so relieved. As said, it's a great deal of stress to not know what to do, but now that you have a plan and a date.... good mama!!

Remember to come back and let us know how the surgery goes!

I will be sure to post before and afters. I am also thinking of starting a blog or something. I found it so hard to find information online besides a handful of websites that had personal stories about things.

We'll be thinking of you in September. Don't worry... you are in the best hands. If you start to get anxious (many parents do) as the day approaches, be sure to come back and say so and we will offer our shoulders!

Best of luck to you! You are going to the best so you are in great hands. Can't wait to hear from you after surgery. And yes please do the blog, there is so little information out there especially from people who treat with surgery.
