Default bruising issues

Has anyone had any experience with bruises that won't heal? Becca has one that we have no idea how she got it. She woke up with it one morning and it was very dark purple (the kind that usually takes some time to turn to that color) and had a very bright red around it. It is on her leg with her lesion. She doesn't seem bothered by it but it appears to be getting worse rather than better. It takes up about half of her lower leg. If anyone has any ideas I am sure open to it.

How long has it been there? That sounds terrible!

Thanks for updating this site with Becca's story. I haven't been to this site for some time, it's great to see more stories! With the rarity of CMTC it's hard to connect with other parents.

My son was diagnosed with CMTC shortly after birth, he is 3 years old now. It affects his right arm (running from his shoulder to his hand). His right arm and hand are smaller and slightly shorter than the left and have the characteristic "mottled" appearance but he still uses it the same. He is a very healthy, active boy and we know how fortunate he is to not have any of the other possible associated problems that can go along with CMTC.

Just wanted to wish you luck with all your upcoming appointments and I hope you find all the answers you are looking for.

Missy-it has been there a couple of weeks.

djmac1-thanks for your post. I so often feel like I am the only person with a kid with CMTC. It is good to know that the size difference hasn't affected your son. I don't think Becca's is going to either. After we hit the walking milestone my heart was put at ease. I am glad that your son is healthy. That is what we all hope for with CMTC.
