Default Timolol

I live in the UK. After seeing two GP's who were very rude and told us to leave my daughters upper lip hemangioma we decided to pay for private. He suggested timolol and I have just picked up my prescription. I feel very nervous as it's near her lip. The only side effect I know it low blood pressure but my daughter will be monitored closely. Anyone have any experience with timolol? She's 12 weeks old.

Thanks in advance x

Hi!

There are other parents around here who did use timolol, some with great results. Side effects of this medicine are very rare and if you will monitor her blood pressure, I think you will be fine.

Other parents will chime in soon!

Thank you. It's on her lip so I'm really nervous it will go in her mouth. Any tips? Does it just dry straight away? Does it hurt her? Will she be ok having a dummy after?

Hi there! My daughter had an upper lip hemangioma but it was about 10 years ago and treatment was different back then. I'm not too sure about the timolol near her mouth- can you call the pharmacy and ask about your concerns? Or maybe call the doctors office and just double check so that way you will feel comfortable. Good luck! I hope you have success with the treatment! Shannon

I use Timeolol on my daughter. She has an upper lip hemangioma. We have a no problems using it. It dries fast. We've had good results with that and laser.
