Default lymphagioma of the penis and scrotum

Desperalty seeking help. In may my son fell on some play equipment at school and hit his "parts". After months and months of swelling and discoloration, dr after dr and ER visit after ER visit I was getting no where. As a nurse I was disgusted as a mother I was frustrated. I made an appointment 1.5 hours away from home with a children's urologist (our local wouldn't see him) and we were admitted to a children's hospital. After 5 days of fearing my child had lymphoma and freaking out on his medial team they did an ultrasound and MRI and came back with a diagnosis of microcystic lymphangioma of the penis and scrotum. Relieved it wasn't cancer I now face another problem. It's rare and no one close to me can treat him. His parts keep swelling and he keeps getting cellulitis. Some please help. Has anyone else ever had this, is there somewhere he can get this treated. Surgical excision seems so horrible for the genitals, sclerotherapy seems like a good option but my research gives me little hope.

Oh, that's terrible!

My suggestion right now is to get in touch with Dr. Linda, http://birthmark.org/experts.php and ask her what options there are.

We'll be keeping your family in our thoughts.

Missy
