Default UPDATE: from millbremommy (facial hemangioma)

hi, it's been about 5 months since my last post. i wanted to update you.

she's been on Propanolol ever since she was 6 weeks. once a month they up the dosage based on her weight gain. right now she takes 1.1 ml 3 times a day (no other meds taken). we saw a big improvement right away with the medication. the hemangiomas that were deep red in color went away soon. but the ones that look "spidery" and are superficial have not subsided much. thankfully, they have not gotten worse, they faded just a bit, and seem not to go away on Propanolol. dr. mathes mentioned that they (meaning her, and the rest of the dermotology team including dr. friedman at UCSF) have noticed that those types (forgot what she called them) don't react to propanolol.
