Hemangioma on upper lip

Hi,

I am new to this forum and just hoping to get some advice/support/opinions. My 14 month old son has a hemangioma on his upper lip, about the size of a nickel in diameter.... and pretty thick, he looks like he just has a big lip

Well, my husband and I are ready to seek out surgical removal because he is a typical boy and has already busted it TWICE by falling during play... we don't want him to end up hurting it to a point where we have to have emergency surgery or something... and we are tired of worrying while he plays.

Has anyone here had their child's hemangioma removed?? (lip hemangiomas preferebly...)

I didn't want you to have to wait for a response, but have no advice. Have you chosen a physician yet?

Hi! My daughter has an upper lip hemangioma. She is 8 years old now and has just a trace of it left. She was on oral steroids at first and then had surgery when she was 5, and then 2 laser treatments. The best way to explain our journey is to take a look at her album:
