Hello all I am new to this site and am looking for help for my 4 week old son in Pennsylvania. He has a small, flat strawberry hemingioma on his left cheek. Has anyone had luck with a doc in the Philly area that will prescribe propranololor timolol? I'm having a hard time with my pediatricians recommendation of "wait and see." I really appreciate your feedback!!
Hi there! There a few doctors listed on this site if you click on Find a Doctor and then go to the listing for Pennsylvania. You can try to check some of those out. Hopefully someone from that area will post and give you some ideas. Good luck!
Our daughters hand hemangioma was deemed "superficial" by a pediatric dematologist who specialized in this area. She also recommended watch and wait. Here is the progress over 5.5 years - no treatments. I know that's different than fear of it expanding into eye/lip areas, however I wanted to encourage you that if you see a specialist (not just a regular pediatrician) and they recommend waiting it may be the best advice, it has been for us.
