Default PWS on back of right leg. Please Help!!

I have a port wine stain that covers the top cheek of my "bum" and goes down in light pink clouds all the way to my heel. It then goes up the bottom of my foot and covers my four small toes. The birthmark darkens in the cold and the leg swells when it gets hot or I stand too long.

I have lived a pretty interesting life because of it, but I guess because of the way my parents raised me to think of it as no big deal, I did not get much teasing, but a lot of questions from strangers.

I am now 43 and my birthmark is still light and smooth. The back of my leg has a vein protruding which does hurt. I have had no thickening and no change in texture. Does this always happen with age or can I actually skip through life without the thickening?

YOu might just be skipping right a long and not have the cobbling issue or thickening issue. It might be a good idea to follow up with a derm. that has a lot of experience with PWS. Also, the fact that you have pain... I think you could find a solution for this from other people suffering the same way and the from the doctor.
GOOD LUCK!
